To Steki tou Boss

To Steki Tou Boss is one of those places that locals recommend when you’re looking for authentic Cypriot food in Paralimni. Family owned since 2015 and housed inside a beautifully restored traditional village home, it combines classic Cypriot hospitality with recipes that have been passed down through generations. Inside you’ll find exposed stone, timber details, and a cosy atmosphere, while the outdoor terrace is ideal for warm summer evenings.

What makes it special

Savor delicious traditional Cypriot cuisine like Lamb Kleftiko and souvlaki

Enjoy a warm and rustic atmosphere with friendly staff

Try the unique concept of choosing your own Meze selection for a varied dining experience

Everything is cooked fresh to order, with many dishes prepared over traditional charcoal. The menu focuses on homemade Cypriot favourites, from grilled meats and seasonal village recipes to fresh seafood, daily specials, and one of the area’s most popular meze experiences. Whether you’re stopping by for lunch, dinner, or simply a platter to share with friends, the emphasis is always on quality ingredients and authentic flavours.

What Makes It Worth Visiting

The highlight here is the flexibility of the dining experience. Instead of a fixed menu, you can create your own meze by selecting exactly the dishes you want, or leave it to the kitchen with the famous “O Meze Tou Boss”, featuring more than twenty seasonal dishes served gradually at a relaxed pace.

Seasonal ingredients play a big role, with traditional favourites such as kleftiko, charcoal grilled souvlaki, lamb chops, homemade meatballs, rabbit in lemon sauce, liver, and fresh seafood appearing throughout the year. Many recipes come directly from the family’s own traditions, giving the food a genuine homemade feel.

What to Expect

Expect relaxed Cypriot hospitality where nobody rushes your meal. The restaurant attracts plenty of locals throughout the week, while weekends can become especially busy. During winter, the open fireplace creates an even cosier atmosphere, and occasional live music adds to the traditional experience. Takeaway, delivery, and lunch specials are also available if you’re looking for authentic home style cooking during the day.

ElloCyprus Recommends

If it’s your first visit, order the full “O Meze Tou Boss” and let the kitchen guide your meal. If you prefer choosing individually, don’t miss the charcoal grilled souvlaki, slow cooked kleftiko, rabbit in lemon sauce, homemade meatballs, grilled lamb chops, or one of the fresh seafood specials when available. Finish with the complimentary dessert, which is part of the experience and a lovely way to end a traditional Cypriot meal.

If you’re looking for authentic local food in Paralimni rather than a tourist restaurant, To Steki Tou Boss is one of those places you’ll probably find yourself returning to long after your first visit.

I had a wonderful meal at To Steki Tou “Boss” in Paralimni, Cyprus. I ordered the Lamb Kleftiko with roasted potatoes and fried feta cheese. The lamb was tender and flavorful, and the potatoes were perfectly roasted. The fried feta was a delightful touch. The restaurant has a warm, rustic atmosphere with friendly staff. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food. I’d definitely return and recommend it for authentic Cypriot cuisine.

Had a really enjoyable meal here this evening, we were early, hence the 3 for atmosphere, I’m sure had we been later there would have been much more atmosphere as it started to fill up as we left.Loved the idea of choosing your own Meze, all food chosen was perfectly cooked and flavoursome. Will definitely go again.

Let me explain my experience which I can only describe as shocking.I have been driving past your restaurant since my arrival in April 2023.I have read many reviews which on the whole were positive!I have been seeing your many posts on FB on your food and that you do Kleftico Friday and Saturday and recently on Sunday Wow.So I decided to book a table today for my wife and I.Firstly I asked for a table at 6pm but you advised 6.30 so I agreed!Tonight I arrived at 6.30 to be told no table booked for 6.30 but a “Paulo” had booked a table for 7:30pm.At this point I thought “here we go Basil Fawlty”, and I was spot on.The tables we were offered were right by the road between Pilar’s so service would be to the side or over our shoulders. We are therefore being advised to accept inferior seating to those around us but still accept paying the same prices🤷🏽🤷🏽🤷🏽As you can imagine, I was less than impressed by our treatment and asked for a table across the road which is inferior to the table I had originally asked for.Having reviewed the tick box menu, I was advised that you did not have Kleftiko on the menu despite being constantly advertised on FB for many weeks 🤷🏽As you can imagine, I was totally disappointed to the point that I walked away.Your guy Sergio was lovely but I was totally underwhelmed that despite your continuous FB posts you have fallen flat on your face 🤦🏽🤷🏽

We took our family who were visiting from Scotland, having previously only had takeaway we thought we'd try the taverna. The food was beautiful, the service was excellent especially the young lady. We were seated in the new 'terrace' area across the road. We recommend to friends and they loved it too

I don't like to leave negative reviews as I know what it does to business but I was left with no choice.Average time to get food on the table was 1.5 hour for just souvlakiSouvlaki was written as a portion in the menu (costing around 11€) that came in pitta with some fries with less than 2 skewers of meat.Overall small portionsEverything was overcooked & overcharred on the grillService was beyond slowThank god for Stavros that did his best to make our time passable.Since they had some staffing issues they didn't think to reduce the takeaway orders or at least close wolt and foody to speed up the time orders were coming out of the kitchen. The menu was probably too long for them to handle which I think is something for them to consider.Ambience was cute for the type of store this was.
