Adjacent to its sister beach, Vrissiana Beach, Sunrise Beach, also popularly known as Vrysi B, is a continuation of the beautiful shoreline in Protaras, located within the Famagusta district of Cyprus. This beach is a haven for sports enthusiasts, offering an impressive array of water sports amenities that cater to both adrenaline seekers and those looking to try something new.

What makes it special

Witness stunning sunrise views over the clear waters of Sunrise Beach

Enjoy golden smooth sand and crystal-clear water perfect for swimming

Explore the nice boardwalk along the beach for a leisurely stroll

One of the standout features of Sunrise Beach is its incredible view of the coastline, providing a scenic backdrop for all beach activities. For those who prioritize safety, the beach is well-equipped with lifeguards on duty from 09:00 to 18:00 every day during the summer months, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

The beach is also modern in its amenities, offering wireless Wi-Fi, which is a boon for those who can’t completely disconnect or might want to share their beach experiences in real-time. Comfort is further enhanced with the availability of sun loungers and umbrellas, ideal for relaxing after a vigorous water sports session.

Sunrise Beach is also notable for its commitment to accessibility. The presence of ramps and specially designated parking spaces makes it an inclusive destination for visitors with disabilities. This focus on accessibility is a testament to the inclusive nature of Cypriot hospitality.

Moreover, the beach is a starting point for a scenic coastal nature trail, leading visitors to a variety of restaurants and coffee bars. This trail also connects to other notable beaches such as Louma and Lombardi, offering a delightful exploration opportunity for those who love to discover new places on foot.

As an expat living in Cyprus, I’ve always admired the way Sunrise Beach combines sports, relaxation, and accessibility. It’s a perfect spot for families, groups of friends, or solo travelers who enjoy an active beach day. And, if you’re looking for an exclusive retreat, don’t forget to check out private villa rentals on ElloCyprus.com for a unique and serene beachside experience.

Big stretch of beach, busy but not very overcrowded , plenty of paid and free parking options, white sands and plenty of water activities like speed boats, tour boats, parasailing water etc

The best thing about this beach is ridiculously clean water at any time of the day, which I can't say about the sand on the beach - lots of trash between sunbeds. Sunbeds in the whole Protaras/Paralimni area are disastrously uncomfortable, compared to the ones in Napa, worn out, big and heavy to manipulate. Our fav place on this beach was in front of Yianna Marie bar, calm and great music.

Very nice beach, nice and clean, umbrellas and beds cost 2,5euro each, so its a fair price i would say.

A well-organized beach with showers, sunbeds, restrooms, and an ice-cream stand, very clean and urban.

Lives up to its name… sunrise was beautiful there! Quite a few people get up early to see it or go about their day. I recommend seeing it at least once!

Great little beach spoiled by the litter left behind by previous occupants. Also you have to get up pretty early to get a sunbed, lots of people putting towels on either night before or early morning then leaving to come back later.

One of the best beaches in Agia Napa. Very clean, nice boardwalk along the beach for a stroll. As with all of Cyprus there are lots of cats around. If you give them even the slightest attention they will follow you as they associate humans with food.
