When planning your stop, arrive early to secure sunbeds as they can get taken quickly.

For the best visit, consider visiting Makronissos Beach on windy days when algae may be present near the shore but disappear further into the water.

Before you go, take advantage of free foot showers available on the beach before leaving.

When planning your stop, visit Koralli Seafood Restaurant located in front of Makronissos Beach for quality seafood dining with stunning views.

Beautiful and peaceful beach — clean, well-organized, and easy to access. 🌴 Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for only €2.50 each, and there are showers, changing rooms, a café, parking, and a lifeguard on duty. The water color is stunning! 🏝️ Maybe it’s just the beginning of November, but it felt wonderfully calm and uncrowded — a perfect spot to relax.

Makronissos beach… what a lovely place to be in the winter! If you planed to go to the beach in the summer, make sure you do the following:- set your alarm at 6:00am;- get to the beach and be the 20th person first to get a sunbed;- again, if you’re lucky, you’ll manage to get a couple of holiday pictures with the seaweed crystal clear seashore and blue turquoise water. The are 2 beaches whilst visiting Makronissos beach. The 1st and the main one is on the left or as soon as you park the car, you’ll see it as you have to walk towards the sea.The 2nd one is on the right hand side.Same old story, park the car, get to the sea, keep to your right and you will see the other side of the beach; not so good looking as the main one - but it comes with less sunbeds and quieter ambiance.

Excellent beach with fine sand. The beach is big, and unlike Nissi beach, you can find a free sunbed here if you come a little later. At the entrance to the beach, there is a coffee shop, a restaurant and a shower.

Pristine beach with beautiful clean waters and actual bins for rubbish regularly positioned. Foot showers are free but full showers are about a euro per minute. The bar and shop offers plenty of refreshments and the view is amazing. Water is so calm and gentle. Absolutely beautiful.

Beautiful beach, we managed to get sunbeds later on in the day.Lots of cafes to choose from all very well priced.Sunloungers are 2.50, parasols also 2.50.The sea is perfect for children as it’s shallow for quite a long way out.
