Green Bay Beach

4.7802 Reviews#5 in Beaches

Situated between Fig Tree Bay and Konnos Beach, the Green Bay Beach is a hidden gem known for its picturesque seascape and crystal-clear waters, perfect for those interested in scuba diving and snorkelling. In close proximity to the beach, there are several companies offering scuba gear and classes suitable for all levels of expertise. Divers will have the opportunity to encounter a wide array of marine life, including spotted sea bream, vibrant parrotfish and wrasses, squid, octopuses, starfish, moray eels, and graceful damselfish. Adding to the allure is a captivating underwater sculpture garden, which adds an extra element of fascination to the diving experience.

What makes it special

Snorkel in clear waters with abundant marine life.

Swim close to shore to view underwater statues.

Enjoy the sandy beach with sunbeds and umbrellas.

In addition to scuba diving and snorkelling, Green Bay is also a popular spot for other water sports such as wakeboarding, wakesurfing, water-skiing, and wakeskating. Green Bay Water Sports and Wakeboarding Club offer classes for those interested in trying these thrilling activities.

While Green Bay Beach may not be as developed as other beaches in Protaras, it does offer sun loungers and parasols for visitors’ comfort. Furthermore, there is a small kiosk where you can purchase water, coffee, and refreshments. However, it is important to note that there are no other facilities available on the beach. During peak season, there may be some food trucks located nearby to satisfy your hunger. Although finding the beach can be a bit challenging, inquiring about the diving site will eventually lead you to this hidden paradise.

Ello says

Visit before peak season to avoid crowds.

Arrive early as sunbeds are limited.

Bring your own chairs and umbrella if you prefer.

Swim out around the corner to reach a small island or explore neighboring beaches

Very beautiful beach with clear water and nice snorkeling. In the water we saw some fish and in the deeper area there are some ruins- I don’t know if it’s really ancient ruins or they belong to the diving school nearby…There is a place to buy drinks and snacks
