Weekday visits are usually quieter and less crowded.

Follow rules such as no fires or dogs to help keep the park clean and calm.

Bring binoculars for bird watching at lake viewing hides.

Check out sunset views at the duck area by the lake but be cautious about limited lighting after dark; consider bringing flashlights

Visited Athalassa National Forest Park, and the nature is absolutely stunning! There are hardly any people on weekdays, making it perfect for a peaceful retreat. Met some friendly cats and amusing ducks, including families with ducklings. It’s a great spot to relax, observe birds, and enjoy the tranquility.

Very lovely park and I recommend going there at the duck area where is the lake that I posted on the photos and see the view when the sun sets. The only bad thing I can say about the park is that it needs more lighting at night cause at some point it's pitch black and you can move around only with flashlights until you reach the cafeteria.

Such a beautiful park (especially during February-March, when everything is very green and there’s more wildlife), there is a long trail around the park where you can see the large lake with ducks/geese/various birds, and at the end of it there’s a nice little cafe/kiosk!

It is one of the best parks where you can walk, jog, ride bicycle or even have picnic. But fire is not allowed. What I liked about this park is that dogs are not allowed and the area is relevantly clean. There is a small lake in the middle of the park where you can get into a small cabin and watch the lake in peace. The good thing is fishing isn’t allowed.

The best park in Nicosia for long walks on a weekend.
