Highly recommended! And best of all, it's free to enter! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The exhibitions are rich and diverse, with detailed explanations that cover Nicosia’s history from ancient times to the modern era. There are plenty of interactive elements and short videos throughout the museum. My personal favorite was the audiobook storytelling section, which brought the stories to life in a really engaging way. There are also lots of life-sized dolls dressed in historical costumes, surrounded by carefully recreated environments and historical objects; it honestly felt like stepping back in time. A wonderful place to learn, explore, and feel immersed in Cyprus’s history.

I didn’t expect to like this museum so much at all as I was just finding some place to idly kill time. Although the museum is free, it offers a solid chronological collection, and the audio guides provide a comprehensive overview of Cypriot history. My favorite section was the post-1960 independence period, where you could almost feel the tension in the air. I ended up spending good 1.5 hour feeling somewhat fulfilled, and came away wanting to learn more, which is a testament to how well this small museum does its job.

This museum is really exceptional! They did an excellent job, showcasing the development of the city from early ages on. You should plan enough time to properly explore the place which stretches over several floors.Even I haven’t seen the Cyprus museum yet, I think both should be visited for a full understanding.Best thing, the museum is free of charge.

This is kind of a great bonus addition to the larger Cyprus Museum. It is also free. Very grateful to see these things for no cost. Here is a group of formerly private collections of many wares and items related to Cyprus history - even back to shells and rocks from 5 million years ago.The museum covers some ethnographic topics such as jewellery and clothing, the first Ottoman siege of 1570, pottery, coinage, and much more. 3 levels of exploration. Bag storage is free downstairs but the lockers are only backpack sized. Toilets on site also.I found the guard on the first floor to be a bit creepy, ogling women and lurking awkwardly. Overly interested.

The «Sector 2: Nicosia» exhibition is truly remarkable! The whole museum has a wonderful showcase of the history of the island. Many interactive stations. But the job they did with the division of the city, is something else! Truly amazing! Bravo!
