A Relaxed Restaurant in Central Ayia Napa

Raphael’s is well placed for anyone staying in or exploring Ayia Napa. Its central location makes it easy to reach from nearby hotels, apartments, shops, bars, and the main tourist areas.

The atmosphere is friendly and informal, which works especially well for holiday dining. You can stop by for a light meal, order a proper Cypriot plate, enjoy grilled seafood, or choose something familiar such as pasta, pizza, chicken, or steak.

The Food at Raphael’s Restaurant

The menu at Raphael’s is broad, with plenty of dishes across different sections. Starters include favourites such as Greek salad, feta salad, tzatziki, tahini, grilled halloumi, halloumi saganaki, garlic prawns, grilled prawns, mussels, garlic mushrooms, and baked octopus.

For lighter meals, the salad section includes halloumi salad, mozzarella and prosciutto salad, and Caesar salad, with optional additions such as chicken, prawns, halloumi, or avocado.

There are also pasta and pizza options, including spaghetti carbonara, spaghetti bolognese, spaghetti with prawns, and custom pizzas where guests can choose toppings such as ham, cheese, bacon, green peppers, mushrooms, pepperoni, onion, tuna, tomatoes, sweetcorn, chilli peppers, chicken, and halloumi.

Cypriot Specialities

Raphael’s is a good choice if you want to try traditional Cypriot comfort food in Ayia Napa. The Cyprus specialities section includes moussaka, kleftiko, stifado, lamb shank, homemade sheftalia, pork afelia, koupepia, and keftedakia.

These dishes are ideal for visitors who want something more local than a simple grill or pasta dish. Kleftiko offers slow cooked lamb with roasted village potatoes, stifado brings tender beef in red wine and tomato sauce, while sheftalia and koupepia are classic Cypriot favourites that give the meal a more traditional character.

Seafood and Grilled Dishes

The seafood section includes sea bass, sea bream, grilled salmon, grilled king prawns, garlic king prawns, grilled octopus, fish and chips, and calamari rings. These dishes suit anyone looking for a Mediterranean style meal, especially after a day by the beach.

For meat lovers, the grill section offers mixed grill, pork or chicken souvlaki, rack of ribs, jumbo pork chop, chicken fillet, lamb chops, and a selection of steaks. Rib eye and fillet steak options come with sauces such as pepper, Diane, garlic, and bearnaise.

The menu also includes chicken dishes such as Chicken Diane and Chicken Pepper, both served with rice and chips.

Vegan and Vegetarian Options

Raphael’s also has a dedicated vegan and vegetarian section, which is useful for mixed groups. Options include vegan sheftalia, vegan gyros, vegan souvlaki, vegan afelia, cauliflower steak, aginara stew vegan, and vegetarian moussaka.

This makes the restaurant more flexible than many traditional taverns, especially for families or groups where everyone has different preferences. The vegetarian moussaka and vegan Cypriot inspired dishes are good choices for guests who still want local flavours without meat.

Children’s Menu

Families will appreciate the children’s menu, which includes simple favourites such as pasta with tomato or bolognese sauce, fish fingers with chips, chicken nuggets with chips, burger and chips, and pizza.

The kids’ options make Raphael’s a practical place for family dining in Ayia Napa, especially when children want something familiar while adults enjoy Cypriot dishes, seafood, or grilled meats.

We had such a lovely experience at this place! The service was super sweet and welcoming. The food was delicious – we especially recommend the shrimp pasta and the sea bass, both perfectly cooked and full of flavor. To finish off, we tried their homemade ice cream, and it was divine! Highly recommend this place if you want authentic food and warm hospitality.

We recently dined at this restaurant and were thoroughly impressed. I ordered the rib eye pepper steak, while my wife chose the moussaka. Both dishes were truly exceptional. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful, complemented beautifully by the pepper sauce. The moussaka, on the other hand, was rich, well-balanced, and among the finest we have ever tasted. The service was attentive and efficient, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Overall, it was a delightful culinary experience that we would be glad to repeat. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in search of high-quality dining.

Rapahels Restaurant is absolutely fantastic! The ambiance is very nice and welcoming. Rapahels Restaurant offers a great variety of classic Cypriot meals, some of which are available in vegan versions. The vegan dishes I tried were sooo delicious and very satisfying. Also vegan dessert options tasted amazing! It immediately became my favorite vegan-friendly restaurant in Cyprus. The staff is attentive and kind, and they even offered me vegan butter for the bread served with starters, which was a lovely touch. Highly recommend Rapahels for anyone visiting Ayia Napa, especially if you’re looking for truly enjoyable vegan dining.

Very nice typical restaurant: local dishes are very good. There are some errors in the recipes of the italian dishes but I think it’s normal and maybe it’s due to satisfy local tastes. The service is very good and warm and the local itself is very nice. I suggest it to taste local dishes: well done!

Nice Cyprus restaurant with great food!Moussaka and Garlic King Prawns are so delicious 😋Sweet wine is so good and also baklava 😊The only downside is the Greek salad, not so dedicated waiters and the bad men's toilet.

We came a little late, the season was over so there weren't a lot of people. But overall all of it was amazing, the food portions were very large, could barelly eat everything. The chilli dip from the starter Cyprus dips was amazing, my favourite. The pork shnitzel was also amazing with the sweet chili sauce, Keo beer was also very good. The starters and drinks came very fast, the main course also came fast after the starters. 20eur for 3 course, very affordable. Also got a complimentary dessert at the end, very delicious and heartwarming. Will definetly recommend to anyone who comes here. 10/10!!!😁😁😁

I've been here before few years ago. It was good then and it was good now. Fair prices and good menu. I ordered local meatballs. It wasn't the best. Plating was not good and I bet the meat was not fresh, propably just heated. It's off season after all. Anycase, lets give them thumbs up because they keep the place open also in quiet times. Service was great btw. Got free dessert!

I had never seen in 22 years of visit to Greece, a vegan slouvaki! It intrigued me a lot. And that’s lucky, beacause I hardly eat meat anymore. So I was really happy to find these options in this restaurant that understood everything. It was absolutely delicious as much as the meat. And even better. You are really too good. The potatoes are excellents. I love the setting. And the staff is really very nice.
