Nestled on the south-eastern edge of Lefkosia, the Athalassa National Forest Park is a serene oasis spanning 840 hectares. This lush expanse features a diverse range of endemic, indigenous, and adventive trees, shrubs, and herbs, offering an ideal retreat for nature enthusiasts.

The park boasts 20 kilometres of trails, perfect for walking, cycling, or dog walking (on designated pathways). At the heart of this green haven, the Botanical Gardens are open daily, free of charge, providing visitors with a closer look at the park’s rich flora.

For a deeper appreciation of the park’s natural wonders, stop by the Visitor’s Centre. It features:
• A scale model replica of the park showcasing its key natural features and recreational spots.
• Dioramas presenting the area’s vegetation, birds, mammals, and reptiles.
• Exhibits of geological samples, fossils, and related artefacts.
• Visual displays of the local fauna and flora.
