Coral Bay stands as the favored beach destination for visitors staying in the Peyia municipality. A mere 20-minute drive along the coastline from Paphos, this horseshoe-shaped bay boasts soft, golden sands, making it an excellent option for families seeking respite from the pebbly beaches around Paphos. The tall headlands that encircle the 600-meter-long beach provide ample protection and, combined with the serene, shallow waters, create an ideal swimming spot. Moreover, the water temperature tends to be a few degrees warmer than that of Paphos.

What makes it special

Enjoy the beautiful sandy shore and clear, calm water.

Try water sports like water skiing or diving.

Relax on a sunbed or find quiet spots shaded by olive trees.

Visitors can also rent water sports equipment or opt for a more leisurely day by lounging on sunbeds and under umbrellas. Along Coral Bay’s main strip, one will find a selection of restaurants and bars, some of which spill out onto the beach. For those arriving by car, parking is available near the beach. Alternatively, regular buses operate from Paphos or one can choose to cycle along the coastal path to reach Coral Bay.

Arrive early to get a good space as it becomes busy later.

Bring your own shade since natural shelter is limited.

Consider weekdays for a quieter visit than weekends.

Explore nearby beach bars for refreshing drinks and snacks rather than relying solely on kiosk prices

Great beach! Loads of sand and free onsite parking. You can rent sun beds or just flop out a towel like we did :) Nice and safe to leave your stuff on the beach whilst you swim, no pickpockets about! 1€ to use the showers (BYO towel), free to use the toilets. They have somewhere to rinse off your feet too of course. Happy days! ☀️

Sandy beach, clear water, and a beautiful relaxing atmosphere, suitable for families. The prices are the same as other beaches we visited in Cyprus: €2.5 for a sunbed, €2.5 for an umbrella, or €7.5 for a full set (2 beds + 1 umbrella).Highly recommend, one of the best beaches in Paphos

Nice sandy beach. A lot of sunbeds, 7.5 euro for two sunbeds and umbrella. Water is not so clean because of algae. There is a changing cabin without door lock.

We visited Coral Bay Beach in June during our family holiday, and it quickly became one of our favourite spots in Cyprus. The beach itself is stunning – soft golden sand, calm shallow waters, and a backdrop of limestone cliffs. Perfect for families, especially with kids.Services & Facilities:Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for rent (around €2.50 each), and lifeguards are on duty. Toilets and showers are free to use and kept reasonably clean. There’s also a small kiosk where you can buy drinks and snacks – water is sold in plastic bottles, which is convenient but I wish there were more eco-friendly options. One detail we loved was the box with free beach toys for children – buckets, spades, and other sand-play items left by other families for anyone to use. Such a nice community touch that made Amelia’s day!Fees:Access to the beach is free, you only pay if you want a sunbed or umbrella. Parking nearby is also free, which is a big plus.Overall, Coral Bay is not just beautiful, it’s also well-organised, safe, and family-friendly. A place where you can spend the whole day swimming, relaxing, and enjoying the view – without worrying about a thing.

The best beach of Paphos: sandy and protected. Beautiful in the morning. Very pleasant to swim in the late afternoon. Unlikely there are too many houses all around.

Our first beach in Paphos! This is a great beach with minimal waves to relax at. It is also a great spot for sunset. The water was refreshing and much warmer than the beach by the Aphrodite Rock. Rental for chairs/umbrellas was very affordable at 7 euros. There are also a ton of spots to just lie down with your own towels. Family-friendly and ample parking.
