Swimming and Sand

The beach is known for its soft yellow sand and crystal clear water. The sea entry is gradual, with shallow water close to the shore, making it a comfortable option for families with children.

My favourite beach during my stay in Paphos! Much preferred it over Coral/Corallia Bay. The beach is very clean, not too crowded, and great to see the sunset. Location is close to the harbour with a beautiful walk on the promenade. There are free bathrooms, showers, changing rooms, and also a cold water station to refill your water bottles!!!

I am writing this review from a manual wheelchair user point of view. The beach is advertised as wheelchair accessible online, but i found that it wasn't for me. There is Blue Badge/Disabled parking in SODAP beach car park, which was FREE. The promenade is wheelchair accessible, but to get to the beach and water itself is near impossible. 1. There is a man made zig zag ramp NEXT to Antasia Restaurant which leads to the beach. HOWEVER, once at the bottom you have 4 STEPS to navigate. Unless you have phenomenal wheelchair skills, a permanent wheelchair user cannot get down the steps. This is NOT wheelchair friendly!!! At the bottom of the steps are wooden paths which lead near to the water, which is good, but NO use if you can't get to the beach. So depends on your disability. 2. Near the other ramp is a steep slope, which leads directly to the sand, but when i tried to go down it, my wheels kept spinning out of control due the the SAND that naturally collects on the slope. I use crutches as well as a wheelchair, so in theory I could have wheeled my wheelchair down the zigzag ramp, got out and crutched it down four steps, but for me personally this is relatively dangerous, especially if the steps are sandy. I would need physical help. It is very disheartening to see as the beach is advertised as accessible as per the sign and websites. As with anything, it's doable if you have physical help from people, to carry your wheelchair down with you seated in it, but not if you simply want to be independent.

Small but everything you need. Excellent toilet and shower facilities with some changing rooms. €2.50 for good sunbed, contactless payment available. In October the sea was warmer than the pool at our hotel. Sea was quite active and some rocks below the surface (though not sharp) so young children would need good supervision but past the breakers and an easy swim

My new favourite piece of paradise. The beach is relatively quiet and the water is cool and clear. It’s a lovely spot for a quick morning swim or an evening picnic at sunset. I’m so heartbroken that they’re building a restaurant right on the beach. It’ll surely ruin the peace and tranquility of this little gem.

Not the "beach of your life" but it does it's job. You can come with your own towel or rent a sunbed.

Nicest beach in Paphos - rented two beds and umbrella for €7.50 for as much time as we wanted, and theres good toilet and shower facilities. Visited in September and most beds are taken before 11am, so come earlier for a good spot!
