Adonis Baths Waterfalls, located approximately 2 kilometers from Kili village in the Paphos district, are renowned for their exceptional beauty and secluded surroundings. To access the baths, one can take either the Tala or Akoursos road, both about 12 kilometers away from Paphos. Travelers using bicycles or motorcycles may find it more convenient to take the Tala Road.

The waterfall was formed by the water from the surrounding ravines, which over time eroded the soil, creating a small lake. During the summer, many people are drawn to such places with cool water to relax and refresh themselves. Some adventurous individuals even climb the rock with ropes and jump into the lake, while others prefer to dive from a lower height.

Swimming in the baths, beneath the waterfall, is believed to have youth-preserving effects for women and to strengthen men. Adjacent to the baths, a statue of Adonis and Aphrodite can be found. A message accompanying the statue states that infertile women who wish to conceive should touch Adonis’s appendage for a chance at having many children thereafter.

According to Greek mythology, Adonis and Aphrodite had numerous offspring at this location, and it is believed that the people of Paphos are descended from these two lovers. Adonis Baths was their preferred place to spend time together and was also where Adonis tragically met his demise. He was fatally wounded by a man disguised as a wild boar and returned to the baths, where he died in the arms of Aphrodite. Overwhelmed by grief, Aphrodite pleaded for him to be sent back every six months.

Adonis Baths Waterfalls hold both historical and mythological significance, making them a popular destination for visitors seeking natural beauty and cultural exploration.

Visiting this place is truly a delightful experience, but please note that there is an admission fee. Additionally, it is important to be well-informed about the directions and operating hours of the theme park.
