Definitely a nice activity to do such as a morning/afternoon thing with children - can also go round it quickly in an hour or two if you want to fill time
The parking lot is large and shaded.
Tickets are quite expensive but you can enter once 🙂

I don't understand the comments about poor conditions for animals, in my opinion it's ok.
There is a restaurant but we didn't use it so I can't judge it.
There is a covered playground for children, which is a plus 🙂 you can sit here and let the kids run wild.
There are two bathrooms at the beginning and at the playground.
