Magic Dancing Waters Live Show

The Magic Dancing Waters Show is one of the most popular evening attractions in Protaras, offering a 60 minute performance of dancing fountains, colourful lights, lasers, holographic animations, fire effects, and a dramatic volcano eruption.

What makes it special

Experience lights, music, and water effects in one show

The fast-paced second half is enjoyable for families

Fire and laser displays add something different to the performance

Located in the centre of Protaras, next to McDonald’s, the show is suitable for all ages and is a good evening option for families, couples, and visitors looking for entertainment after dinner.

What to Expect

The show combines music, water, light, fire, smoke, and projection effects in one large outdoor spectacle. It is designed as a visual performance rather than a typical theatre show, with the fountains, lasers, flames, and volcano effects creating the main experience.

The performance lasts around 60 minutes and starts at 21:00. Visitors are advised to arrive before 20:30 to choose their seats.

Main Highlights

  • Dancing water fountains
  • Colourful light and laser show
  • Animated holographic projections
  • Volcano eruption effects
  • Fire and smoke show
  • Music and sound effects

Dancing Fountains and Lights

The fountain show features programmed water patterns, coloured lighting, and choreographed movement. The venue uses thousands of water nozzles and RGB lights to create different fountain shapes and effects.

This is the main part of the experience and gives the show its name, with the water appearing to move and dance in time with the music.

Volcano and Fire Show

One of the most dramatic parts of the show is the volcano eruption. The volcano effect includes rumbling sounds, fire, lava style visuals, and flame effects.

The show also uses fireball cannons, flame throwers, smoke machines, and hazers to create a more intense visual atmosphere.

Laser and Holographic Stories

The show includes animated laser and holographic projections. These may include themed visual stories such as The Story of Humanity, Zorba the Greek, and the Seven Wonders of the World.

These projections add variety to the performance and help turn the show into more than just fountains and lights.

It’s a nice experience for about an hour — a cool combination of laser, dancing water, and fire show that you can enjoy with a drink or dessert. The entrance felt a bit expensive, but we got a fruit plate inside, which was fresh and fair for the price.I went with my two kids (2 and 5 years old). The little one loved all the lights and the fruit, while the older one got a bit bored after a while. Overall, it’s a fun short activity.

Sited in Protaras and easily reached by bus. Get off at McDonalds. A spectacular show with tables well spaced out and drinks are of a reasonable price. The service was good. Would recommend a visit.

The fountain show itself might be nice, but the experience was ruined. A group of people in front were jumping, shouting, and blocking the view, and staff did nothing about it. Couldn’t hear the music or see the show properly. I don’t recommend this place because of the poor staff attitude.

I have to admit I wasn't particularly excited about this event. It was something my wife wanted to experience. I have to admit though she was right, I was wrong. Yes, you heard that correctly. You could get food and drink inside so definitely worth arriving early and having a drink whilst waiting to start. Advise sitting nearer the back if you don't want to get wet. Despite signs warning about this there were quite a few people that had to flee their seats half way through much to our amusement. The event itself lasted a good hour and was really good. Lots of music with some great effects. This was definitely an experience that offered value for money. Honestly, if you're in the area and are looking for something to do this is definitely worth it.
